RIYADH, DEC. 19, SPA -- MINISTER OF ECONOMY AND PLANNING KHALID BIN MOHAMMED ALGOSAIBI CONSIDERED THE UNPRECEDENTED SR380 BILLION WORTH OF STATE BUDGET OF THE KINGDOM FOR THIS YEAR AS A PRELUDE FOR AN ACCELERATING DEVELOPMENTAL MARCH FOR THE KINGDOM.
IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY TODAY, HE SAID THE BUDGET WAS TARGETING CITIZENS AS SUBJECT AND MEANS OF DEVELOPMENT, CITING THE VAST EDUCATIONAL, HEALTH, MUNICIPAL, AND SOCIAL SERVICES, THE UPGRADING OF THE STANDARD OF LIVING OF PEOPLE AND THE PROVISION OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES.
HE FOCUSED ON THE ROLE OF HUMAN RESOURCES TO STRICTLY AND TIMELY IMPLEMENT THE BUDGET.
CITING PRELIMINARY ECONOMIC INDICATIONS ISSUED BY THE GENERAL STATISTICS AND INFORMATION DEPARTMENT THAT THE GDP HAS ACHIEVED A REAL 4.15 PERCENT GROWTH RATE AND THE NON-OIL PRIVATE SECTOR HAS ACHIEVED A 6.5 PERCENT GROWTH RATE, THE MINISTER SAID THIS IS AN EVIDENCE OF THE FIRMNESS OF THE SAUDI ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUATION.
