"Fourth: it is clear from what has already been stated that the woman’s private meeting with an illegal companion, her violation of the marriage contract and betrayal of trust compel a consideration of her punishment. Therefore, the court has considered, through the competent judicial service consisting of three judges, the lawsuit which was filed by the Prosecutor in the case as well as the woman's and her companion's prohibited private meeting and their violation of Islamic law, all these counts necessitate a punishment of chastisement. She was sentenced to lashing. The woman and her husband accepted the the verdict on 10/10/1427H. Also, the judges considered the lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor against the persons who committed this heinous crime according to the role of each in the crime and his responsibility on which he was convicted according to evidence. As we have indicated in previous statements, the case remains under legal consideration based on what has been submitted to the judges by the Permanent Board of the Supreme Judiciary Council regarding reviewing the issued sentences and increasing the chastisement punishment for everyone as a result of the seriousness of the crime, particularly the main reason for the occurrence of the crime which was the woman and her accompanying person as they expose themselves to this heinous crime and caused its occurrence because they violated the provisions of Islamic Law. --More
