Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives Russian Grand Mufti, other Prominent Muslim Figures

Moscow, Muharram 17, 1439, Oct 7, 2017, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, currently on an official visit to Russia, received at his residence here tonight, the Grand Mufti of the Central Religious Department for Russia s Muslims Sheikh Tala at Tajjuddin, accompanied by various prominent Islamic figures, in Russia.

During the audience, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques underscored the importance of activating communication and dialogue among followers of all faith and different cultures, to bolster principles of tolerance and fight haughtiness and extremism, in order to bring about international security and peace.

For its part, the delegation led by the Mufti expressed pleasure at meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on his historic visit to Russia, pointing, before the monarch, of their utmost keenness to spread the culture of moderation, tolerance and to combat terrorism as well as extremism, among followers of different faith and cultures.

The audience was attended by the accompanying delegation to King, accompanying delegation to the Mufti and the Russian ambassador to the Kingdom Sergei Kozlov.
