A joint statement issued at conclusion of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques's visit to Malaysia 3 Kuala Lumpur

The two countries announced the establishment of a global center for peace to be based in Malaysia in the name of "King Salman Center for Global Peace" in collaboration between Intellectual Warfare Center at Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Center for Security and Defense at Malaysian Ministry of Defense, Malaysian University of Islamic Sciences, and Muslim World League.; these bodies shall coordinate among them to complete necessary arrangements to implement the launch of the center within 90 days from the date of its announcement.
Within the constructive spirit that prevailed in the meetings between the two sides, they reviewed political issues in the Middle East, particularly the Palestinian cause and stressed the importance and need to achieve a lasting, comprehensive and just solution to resolve this issue in accordance with Arab peace initiative and relevant resolutions of the international legitimacy.
The two sides also confirmed the importance and need to find a solution to the Syrian crisis on the basis of Geneva statement (1) and United Nations Security Council Resolution (2254) and the importance of providing humanitarian assistance and relief works for Syrian refugees inside and outside Syria.
On the other hand, the two sides affirmed the importance of maintaining the unity of Yemen, achieving its security and stability, and the importance of a political solution to the Yemeni crisis based on the Gulf initiative, outputs of Yemeni national dialogue, the United Nations Security Council Resolution (2216), confirming their support for the legitimate authority in Yemen and the efforts being exerted in this regard as well as facilitating access of aid to all regions of Yemen.
The two sides expressed their deep concern about Iranian interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region, emphasizing the need for Iran's commitment to the principle of good neighborliness and respect for the sovereignty of States.
