Riyadh Region Police arrests citizen, two expatriates who presented gifts to Gulf woman journalist as being from official departments

Riyadh, Muharram 01, 1440, September 11, 2018, SPA -- The media spokesman of Riyadh region's police department said that, referring to what was discussed yesterday in the social media sites of a video clip at the account of one of the Gulf women journalists, currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, of receiving a gift of valuable perfumes bearing words indicating that they are from official departments.
Accordingly, the competent authorities have started the verification procedures and the security efforts resulted in the arrest of three people on Monday, 1439/1230 AH. They are:
1- Abdullah Saleh Hammad Al-Mutairi
Saudi National.
2 - Nather Nabieh Hani
Lebanese National.
3 - Mateen Ahmed
Indian National.
During the inspection, several boxes of cheap perfumes were found, similar to what appeared in the video, in which the defendants sought to inform the journalists that the gifts were from official sources, hoping to exploit this badly for their personal reasons.
The competent authorities have started the procedures of exposing all circumstances and notifying the public prosecution branch in the region to complete the necessary measures according to regulations.
