Aden, Rabi'II 9, 1438, Jan 7, 2017, SPA -- Tension between Houthis and their ally 'ousted Saleh' escalated openly. This was reflected in the sharing of ministerial positions in what they called the National Rescue Government, which was not recognized by any political entity in the world.
It turned out that Houthis took control of certain ministries (Education and Interior Ministries) in order to establish destructive thoughts coming from outside of Yemen into education, which was an act that did not receive any acceptance of the Yemenis. Meanwhile, the ousted Saleh was keen to take control of profitable ministries (telecommunications and oil sectors), which he worked for during his 33-year ruling period.
The coup militia started to collapse and panic, where gunmen started to flee the fighting fronts and return to their tribes in high numbers. This made Houthis and Saleh unable to prevent the collective escape from the battle fronts as they suffered heavy defeats.
