OIC Lauds King Salman Order Allowing Women to Drive

Jeddah, Muharram 7, 1439, Sep 27, 2017, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has lauded order issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud adopting applying provisions of traffic law and its executive regulations, including issuance of driving licenses for male and females alike and allowing the Saudi women to drive vehicles.
In a statement issued today, OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen stressed that this is a positive step within reform steps to continue development of the Kingdom and its citizens under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, confirming that this direction is in line with the ten-year OIC program and the action plan for advancement of women.
