Environment Ministry: No Cases of H5N8 Avian Flu Recorded in Saudi Arabia in Previous 24 Hours

Riyadh, Rajab 02, 1439, March 19, 2018, SPA -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that no cases of H5N8 avian flu have been recorded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the last 24 hours.
In its daily briefing, the ministry affirmed that the number of samples collected from the Kingdom's regions since the beginning of the spread of the disease reached 11,423. The results disclosed that 159 of these samples tested positive. As many as 9,492 birds were culled in the previous 24 hours.
The statement said that the Ministry received one notification and six enquiries during the last 24 hours.
