Saudi Arabia Affirms Keenness on Promoting, Protecting Human Rights

New York, Oct. 18, 2019, SPA -- At a UN specialized sub-committee meeting as part of the 74th general assembly deliberations, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed its commitment to continuing its efforts to enhance and protect human rights as well as its keenness to cooperate with the United Nations, the international community and world organizations and bodies in order to contribute to the promotion of human rights in accordance with its national distinction.
In a key speech before the Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee, the 3rd Secretary Mohammed bin Essam Khasha'an, member of the Kingdom's permanent delegation to the United Nations, cast light on the item of enhancement and protection of human rights as well as other issues concerning empowerment of Saudi women and protection of their rights.
