Minister of Energy meets US Secretary of Energy

Riyadh, October 28, 2019, SPA -- Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz here today met with US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance relations between the two countries and investments in energy, climate and technology.
They also discussed the situation of the oil market, where the Minister of Energy stressed the role of the kingdom, as the reliable supplier of crude oil in the world, in the market's stability and its full commitment to providing this strategic commodity.
The meeting dealt with the role of OPEC members and non-OPEC producers in coordinating production, and striving to achieve balance in the oil market, in a way that ensures the interest of both producing and consuming countries, contributes to supporting global economic growth and encourages more oil investments.
The meeting dealt with the two countries' concern over threats to oil installations in the Arabian Gulf and freedom of maritime navigation. The two sides stressed the determination to work together to ensure the security of the global energy supply because any threat to these vital facilities is a threat to the interests of all countries in the world.
