Riyadh, December 14, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the international condemnation of Iranian behavior has become clearer and firmer. This contradictory behavior that flaunts its bias towards freedom and just causes is the one that arrests and suppresses any voice seeking freedom, well-being, justice and equality in their homeland.
Iran's Mullahs regime justifies interference and support of its arms and militias in the affairs of its neighbors for weak reasons, while refusing any opinion opposing its failed policy in managing its internal affairs of achieving stability and development. This regime prefers to waste its money and capabilities in expansion projects and the dissemination of dogmatic ideas that reject and eliminate any opponent, the newspaper added.
The newspaper concluded that the international community’s rejection of the Iranian policy is an important step to curtail it, however it is not sufficient. The continuation of this regime with its suspicious behavior reflects the fragility of the international position; its lack of assertiveness and its ability to achieve the required action.
In another context, Okaz newspaper said in its editorial the statement of Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen that all necessary arrangements have been completed to carry out the mechanism to accelerate the implementation of Riyadh Agreement comes to demonstrate the sincere intentions of the legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council; to achieve stability, unify efforts to confronting the Houthi militias and deter the Iranian project that uses Yemen as a platform to threaten the security of the region.
This Kingdom of Saudi Arabia leads this positive development to end the dispute between the two parties and build confidence between the various political forces, as the Yemeni citizen has many hopes and aspirations, represented in ending the fighting, uniting efforts against the Houthi militias, addressing the economic deterioration and improving the living conditions.
All political parties and forces in Yemen must prove to the world the seriousness of the agreement and reject any external interventions that exacerbate crises and lead Yemen to an unknown fate, as Yemen needs stability more than ever before.
