Tawakkalna Launches Registration Service to Donate Organs on its Website

Riyadh, May 12, 2021, SPA -- In response to the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, on registering on the organ donation program, and upon directives of the Crown Prince, the Chairman of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), on the importance of harnessing technology to support and serve all national initiatives, SDAIA and Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation announced launching the registration service at the organ donation program through Tawakkalna website and its applications on smart phones, in service for patients of complete organ failure and to perpetuate the humanitarian work that seeks to instill the values of solidarity and preserve the human soul.
SDAIA, through Tawakkalna system, seeks to enhance cooperation with the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation and support its efforts in connecting those willing to donate organs with the needy, in a bid to realize the aspirations of the wise leadership and in harmony with its ongoing directives on the importance of supporting the humanitarian work.
In the first phase, the registration service at the organ donation program will be limited to joining and registration in the program, while other services, such as cancellation and showing the donor card in the digital portfolio, will be added later.
The cooperation between SDAIA and Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation seeks to facilitate the organ donation process, whether through the website of the center www.scot.gov.sa, Tawakkalna website tawakkalna.sdaia.gov.sa, or through Tawakkalna application on smart phones, which will transfer information instantly to the donor lists at the center with the aim of speeding up and improving the experience of the user.
This cooperation also seeks to spread the culture of organ donation in a bid to preserve the lives of patients whose saving depends on organ transplantation, where Tawakkalna application, due to having a developed infrastructure, is considered a trustworthy link between government departments and affiliated bodies in line of its contribution to improving the services of beneficiaries in all fields.
