Riyadh, May 12, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial titled (Eid, travel and the return carefully), even with the exceptional circumstances caused by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, today we are witnessing the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and the advent of the Eid.
The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will exert unremitting efforts during Eid Al-Fitr days to confront the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring that all people apply precautionary measures to protect the health and safety of everyone and prevent the virus' outbreak.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia will lift suspension of travel for citizens and open land, sea and air ports, starting from May 17, 2021, according to specific procedures and precautions to ensure safe flights for everyone, the paper further added.
The paper concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has exerted unprecedented efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and residents and limit the repercussions of the pandemic.
In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the hostile acts that happen in Palestine reflect the Israeli policy against the Palestinian since 1948 until today.
Despite the fact that many Arabi countries have normalized relations with Israel, the Israeli policy and its aggressive behavior against the Palestinians did not change, the paper added.
Israel has always practiced such hostile behavior towards the Islamic holy sites and occupied Palestinian lands, as the last of these hostile acts was forcibly seizing Palestinian properties and forcibly displacing them from their land, specifically the attacks against the residents of Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan neighborhoods of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the newspaper concluded.
