Acting Minister of Media Calls for Unifying Arab Position Towards Palestine

Cairo, June 16, 2021, SPA -- The Acting Minister of Media, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, called for the unification of the Arab position and the creation of a unified Arab vision and strategy towards the current events, whether political, regarding Palestine or related to addressing the Coronavirus pandemic and facing its repercussions, in light of media and technical developments and the acceleration of global events.
In a statement at the conclusion of the meeting of the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which was held here today, Dr. Al-Qassabi stressed the importance of preparing a unified Arab vision and strategy to meet the challenges of digital media, noting that the Council of Arab Information Ministers saw the necessity of preparing a unified paper and the necessity of taking a unified Arab position to deal with these files.
Regarding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's proposals regarding the Arab strategy to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as adding the countries of Egypt and Palestine as permanent members in the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, Dr. Al-Qassabi pointed out that the Kingdom proposed preparing a unified strategy to confront crises such as the Coronavirus pandemic and dealing with crises in general, adding that the Kingdom also proposed adding Egypt as the country of headquarters and Palestine as permanent members in the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, where this proposal was welcomed by the Ministers of Information.
