Saudi delegation participates in World Urban Forum

Riyadh, June 27, 2022, SPA – Mayor of the Eastern Region Eng. Fahad Al-Jubeir, led the Saudi delegation to the 11th World Urban Forum (WUF11), organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Program "UN-Habitat" in Poland during the period from 26-30 June under the slogan "Transforming Our Cities for a Better Urban Future”, it was reported here today.
For his part, the General Supervisor of Institutional Partnerships and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman bin Saeed serves as Supervisor of the Kingdom delegation which represented a host of government agencies whose participation aims to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts to support international programs and initiatives concerned with the environment and sustainable urban cities. It also aims to highlight the role of the Quality of Life Program - one of the programs of Vision 2030 - in responding to the aspirations of residents of Saudi cities in improving cities, achieving urban sustainability, and preserving the cultural and urban identity in the development of cities. The Saudi participation in the forum also contributes to reviewing the state’s efforts to improve the quality of life for residents and citizens by launching initiatives and programs that contribute to improving the urban landscape and humanizing cities and identifying best practices and global experiences in developing cities.
