Riyadh Governor Crowns Winners of Two Cups of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Cavalry's Trainees

Riyadh, Jan 28, 2023, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, today crowned the winners of the two cups of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the trainees of Saudi cavalry.
The ceremony was held on King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field in Riyadh.
Upon his arrival, the Governor of Riyadh was received by Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Equestrian Commission and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Equestrian Club.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the royal anthem was played, then the race began for the 10th round of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup for Production (Category 1 Local), and the first place was achieved by the horse (Mastwalli) owned by the sons of Haif Al-Qahtani, as the Governor of Riyadh crowned the winners of the cup.
Then, the 11th round began on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup (Category 1 local), which is internationally classified and qualified for the Saudi Cup, as the horse “Scotland Yard” owned by Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz won, where the Governor of Riyadh crowned the winner, Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The ceremony witnessed a round dedicated to the competition for the "Cup of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the trainees of Saudi cavalry" for a distance of 2000 meters, and its prize was 120,000 riyals, in addition to the in-kind gift to the owner of the winning horse.
