Riyadh, Feb. 07, 2023, SPA -- Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, who is also Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of Al-Hilal FC's qualification as the first Saudi football team to play the finals of FIFA Club World Cup, after winning the semi-final match against the Brazilian Flamengo 3/1 earlier today at Tangier Grand Stadium, Morocco.
In a press statement on this occasion, the Minister of Sports said, "We thank Allah the Almighty - for this great national achievement of a Saudi team's qualifying for the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in the history of the tournament, a tangible confirmation of the great distinction that Saudi sports has experienced recently, due to the generous and unlimited support extended by our prudent leadership and the follow-up and interest of HRH Crown Prince in preparing all means and capabilities for our sports to continue its advance locally, regionally and globally.
He also congratulated the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal FC, the technical and administrative staff, the players, and all sports fans on this historic achievement for this dear country, announcing a financial reward of 500,000 riyals for each player of Al-Hilal team for this achievement, wishing at the time the same, success in the final match, to present an honorable image that reflects the reality of Saudi football and its great distinction.
