GCC Member States Condemn Aerial Bombardment of Syrian City of Aleppo

Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 30, 1437, Oct 1, 2016, SPA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states denounced intense aerial bombardment of the Syrian city of Aleppo and neighborhoods, resulting in killing hundreds of innocent civilians, including children, women and elders.
The Secretary General of the (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani said that the GCC member states strongly condemn the continued assault on the city of Aleppo, killing their sons and the systematic destruction of neighborhoods, considering it as a flagrant aggression contrary to international laws and humanitarian principles and ethics.
Gulf Cooperation Council calls on the international community to denounce the heinous crimes being committed against the Syrian city of Aleppo and other cities, with all and various types of prohibited weapons, hence it demands the UN Security Council to intervene, immediately, to stop the aggression on the city of Aleppo, lifting the suffering of the Syrian people and the implementation of relevant council resolutions, in regard of Syrian crisis, which are yet to implemented.
